offers a

Bereavement Support Group

 twice a year.

The spring group meets the six weeks following Spring Break.

The fall group meets the six weeks before the week of Thanksgiving.


There will be two series in 2017

The spring series begins Wednesday, March 22nd at 5:00 p.m., with six one-hour sessions:  March 22 – April 26

The fall series begins Wednesday, October 11th at 5:00 p.m., with six one-hour sessions:  October 11 – November 15

We meet at the First United Methodist Church Library

There is no charge for participation in the group.



This group is for anyone who has experienced a loss.  The loss might be something other than loss due to a death.  People grieve over the loss of relationships, health, jobs, security, and identity in addition to the loss of a loved one to death.

This is a Bible-based approach to grief and recovery that includes information about the grieving process.

There will be time for discussion.  However, no one is required to talk if he/she would rather not.  Some people learn and heal just by listening.
